Shore Kids
We know how much you love your kids, and leaving them somewhere new for the first time or any time can be a little stressful. Our goal is to provide a safe and welcoming environment for your children so that their experience of church can mirror yours – meaningful and formative. We take our children’s safety seriously and background check all of our volunteers and staff. We also work hard to provide a welcoming experience for our children. Our staff seeks to make each child feel like they are a valued part of our church.
Our mission is to help facilitate the faith journey of each of our children. Each week, we want to plant the seeds of the future by helping our children love God and love others. We seek to do this through worship, interactive lessons, and of course, fun!

Sunday Morning 9:30 Sunday School
During our Sunday School hour, children experience age-appropriate interaction with stories from the Bible. We want them to learn about the story of God’s work in the world and find their place in that story. For children, the first step in that journey is learning about God’s love. If you spend any time with our Children’s Ministry Director, Melissa, you’ll hear her say it often: “I want our kids to know God loves them, and that we love them.”
Sunday Morning 10:30 Worship
During our worship hour, children begin their time in our main service. This allows them to participate in the songs and prayers and recognize their place as members of our community. Half-way through the service, children have the opportunity to go to classes that are tailored to their experiences. The lessons will draw on the Sunday School hour – taking the story that was shared and asking questions around what it might mean for their own lives. Since there is continuity between the two hours, we encourage children to attend both.
Wednesday Evening 6:30 Missions Focus
During the school year, we offer Wednesday night Shore Kids gatherings. Wednesday night’s are the time when our children get a chance to develop an outward facing focus. They learn about the efforts of mission partners in other places of the world, and participate in projects with those partners. They also work to bring good in their local context. Each Wednesday, the Shore Kids pack backpacks that go to a local school with whom we partner to ensure that students who rely on school breakfast and lunch have what they need to eat over the weekend.
