The LOFT is our student ministry for 6th through 12th graders. Our hope for the LOFT is to provide the place where  our younger members can take the next steps in their faith journey. We want to help them see their faith as their own and grow into people who will demonstrate love to their world, care for those who need care, advocate for the vulnerable in our world, and build the next generation of our faith community. In addition to the events below, we have special events throughout the year. Sign up for our newsletter, This Week at Bayshore, to stay up to date!

Wednesday Night’s at the LOFT is a time for our students to hang out, eat, and build relationships. We eat together every week (typically pizza from a local place we love!). The LOFT is a space that has comfy places to sit, ping pong, pool, fooseball, video games (you know, the classics), and we always have free time to just hang out.

Each week we also have a time of “highs and lows” where everyone has the opportunity to share the great and the not-so-great so that we can all learn to support each other a little better. We also have a short time of study where we can reflect on deepening faithful engagement with our world. Right now, we’re moving together through the unfolding narrative of the Bible. We’re discovering that this set of ancient stories still has a lot to tell us about who we are as humans and how we can best live together.

Every first Sunday of the month, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, we have our First Sunday Worship. We eat dinner  together (which often consists of a bit more than our Wednesday night pizza routine) and still have some hang-out time.

But we also sing a few songs together and Pastor Chris offers a lesson that’s more sermon style than the informal discussions of Wednesday nights. Our next Sunday gathering will be March 3rd. We’d love to have you join us!

Pursuit Service Camp is an opportunity we offer one week each summer. Structured like a day camp, Pursuit Campers gather each day for games, reflection, food, fun, and most importantly service to our community. Students earn needed volunteer hours by working with some of our local partnerships and schools.

We’re proud of the Pursuit model. Students get to learn more about our city, the needs that face so many people, and their role in building a better world. And our service partners and schools get much needed assistance with special projects.

For 2025, Pursuit Service Camp will run June 9-13. Registration is open so click the link below for more details and to sign up today!

Each summer we take our rising 7th-12th graders to the PASSPORTchoices summer camp in Spartanburg, South Carolina. PASSPORTchoices is a 6-day, 5-night creative discipleship camp that allows students the freedom to customize their camp experience, explore their passions, and inform their faith journey. Your students will choose an afternoon option designed to help them cultivate their unique identity as a follower of Jesus Christ. Some students will sign up for mission service, others might try leadership through team play, faith expression through music, creative arts, or photography. Everyone has a unique experience during the day before gathering again for worship and a nightly party in the evening.

This year we will be going to PASSPORT July 12-18th. If you would like more information about PASSPORT camps, check out their website here. If you have any questions about our specific week at camp or would like to register your student email Pastor Chris using the registration link below.
