A Community with a Mission

At Bayshore, we are committed to loving our neighbors. We see this as a divinely given task that we are compelled to fulfill. We believe that the neighbor is a category more broad than simply those who are in geographic proximity to us. For us, neighbor is a moral category, pointing us to the idea that God’s love must be tangibly displayed to all people. For this reason, we partner with many others who are putting love into action by lending aid, providing comfort, or giving spiritual support and care to people both locally and globally. Local Efforts

Service to our community is a central concern in the life of our church. Together with our partners, we serve our neighbors to make in our world. Some of our partnerships were homegrown here at Bayshore, some we have joined with along the way. Take some time to check out our partners and find a way that you can plug in to show your love.

Backpack Ministry

Each week during the school year, we provide food for local school children in need to take home in their backpacks. Most weeks, the food is prepared on Wednesday night at our Shore Kids gathering. It’s a great way to connect our children to others in their community and give them the chance to engage in efforts that serve as gifts to their world.

CBF Global Missions has three commitments: Global Poverty, Global Migration, and the Global Church. Field Personnel all over the world do the work of helping to facilitate and sustain supportive and loving communities of faith, lend aid to those who are experiencing suffering, and advocating on behalf of those who for whatever reason have had their voices silenced or have been forgotten. In addition to our support of CBF Global, we are also proud to partner with others who are working to show divine love to others in global contexts. Their info is below and we’d love for you to check out their work in more detail.
