“Ever’body talkin’ ’bout hebbin ain’t a-goin’ to hebbin!”

How do you picture heaven? You ensconced on a puffy white cloud? Garbed in a long white robe, harp in hand? Floating through the Shekinah glory waving at fellow citizens of the Holy City?

Chances are you have that or a similar idea of what heaven will be like. Sunday I will focus our thoughts on heaven as we enjoy seeing some old friends and former church members here for “COME BACK TO BAYSHORE DAY!”

Besides the Good Book, I will be reading and studying two other books this week about heaven: Ninety Minutes in Heaven (by Don Pipes) and Heaven (by Randy Alcorn).

I have not spent a lot of time in my life wondering what heaven will be like. However, the older I get, I find my interest being piqued more and more. Content until now with that verse that says we don’t know what the Lord has prepared for those who love him, I am hungry for more biblical details. That’s what I want to share with you this week.

The choir is going to sing.

Ray Love is going to sing.

Ray, Gayle, and I are going to sing.

If that doesn’t scare you off, why, just come on and sing with us!

Love,

Dan
