Ephesians 6:10-17
GRAB YOUR ARMOR … AND BE STRONG IN THE LORD! (This ain’t for sissies!)
We are at war. Believe it. Do not be fooled. How do we fight? Use the best weapons God gave us! They require focus, quietness, faith and action. It is not easy to remember God’s gifts, with noise, distractions, demanding tasks, and the secular, pressing influences of life. God wants us to remember He is here, with us. He did not orphan us. If we are Christians, His Holy Spirit is always with us, no matter what. He has given us authority to trample on snakes and scorpions (Lk 10:19).
We must remember: God loves us. He cares for us. He will not leave us. He has prepared us.
Remember the threat: The devil is real, he seeks to destroy, devour, and discourage. Believe it! Remember, our strength is in the LORD! He has won the war. We must fight the battles. We have the full armor of God; now put it on! Daily.
Warrior, you are much better than you think you are. You have God on your side; you have His armor; you have His angels (if you love and fear Him); and you have faith. So, focus! Be still and listen for His still, small voice. Have faith in your LORD. Take action when the Holy Spirit guides you.
Armor of God Checklist:
Belt of truth buckled around your waist
Breastplate of righteousness
Feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace
Take up the shield of faith, to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one
Helmet of salvation
The sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God
Be encouraged! Be ready! You’ve got this!
