Psalm 89: 1-4, 19-26
GOD’S FAITHFULNESS
My main mission focus for the past ten years has been serving in different capacities with Faith Café. In June 2012, we were told that the facilities we had been using for the past eleven years would no longer be offered to us after the end of July. We were at a loss as to what to do. We had nowhere to go. We as a board of directors kept our faith and went to work to find or build another facility. God’s faithfulness was ever present as we went about finding a property and building a brand new facility, which we opened in April 2013. There were many moments of doubt as we went forward with the project. At one point we were faced with stopping the construction as we were out of funds to continue. We as a board, voted unanimously, to continue, having faith in God that he would provide.
In Psalm 89 the writer begins by praising God’s steadfast love and faithfulness (v. 1-4) and then in (v. 15-18) tells of the blessed state of those who walk with God and as a result receive God’s victory and protection.
The Bible never teaches that we will not have problems as followers of Christ, but it does teach that we will never be alone.
In Psalm 139:9-10, the psalmist says, “If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there Your hand shall lead me, and Your right hand shall hold me.”
It is good to know that God is with you wherever you go.
