Missions Need

During the month of August, we will be supporting Westshore Elementary School by providing them with nonperishable foods. At Westshore, 81% of the  students have subsidized lunches because their families suffer from food insecurity. This food will be sent home in the children’s backpacks on Fridays so they have food to eat over the weekends.

The following items will be collected in the baskets in the main lobby: small plastic jars of peanut butter and jelly, individual servings of cereal, Ramen noodles, single servings of chicken noodle soup, granola and breakfast bars, Easy Mac individual servings, small fruit cups, individual cans of ravioli and spaghettios, applesauce cups, packets of peanut butter or cheese crackers.   (Please, no tuna.)

Small Batch Spirituality

Every second and fourth Thursday at 7 pm, Bayshore will host an off-campus gathering for young adults we call Small Batch Spirituality.  We’ll meet up at 4 Rivers for a time of fellowship and casual conversations on life and faith. Contact Alex or Nick with any questions you might have!

Bayshore Preschool

Bayshore’s weekday preschool program will begin registration for the 2017-’18 school year on March 1st. Call 813.254.5758 for information about our classes for 2 and 3 year olds. Parents may choose 2, 3 or 5 mornings per week for the 9 am – noon program.

Leviticus

Rev. Scarle will be teaching through Leviticus beginning September 6.

Shore Kids Mission Project

socks-of-love

Worship at Hyde Park ALF

While we have many friends from Hyde Park ALF who worship and mingle with us on Wednesdays and Sundays, there are some people who simply aren’t mobile enough to leave the property.  Join a group of Bayshore family who are leading worship onsite at the ALF on the third Thursday of each month at 6:30 pm.   Meet in the dining room at 3011 W. DeLeon Street, only ½ mile from Bayshore.  Questions, contact Jim Neill.

First Nesters Ministry needs you!

If you like to or want to learn how to refurbish “stuff” to be used to give young adults in need their first homes, join us. Every Wednesday a team of people will meet from 4 – 5:30pm in the First Nesters Studio on the 2nd floor. Childcare is provided. Contact Donna Heider for info.

The Barnabas Ministry

Barnabas Ministry

Do you ever go to your mailbox only to be disappointed by what was in it?  Bills, junk mail, and unwanted political propaganda make for a sad mailbox. The Barnabas Ministry is an opportunity to fill our college students’ mailboxes with notes of encouragement.  Bayshore is looking for “Barnabases” to be paired with our college students. If you are interested in this ministry of encouragement, please contact Dina Marshall.

Bayshore Baptist Book Club

Book Club

Do you think that half the fun of reading a book is discussing it with friends afterwards?  Then the Bayshore Baptist Book Club is for you!  We meet the first Thursday of the month at 7 p.m. at Bayshore, in the front lobby by the elevators. For more information, join the Bayshore Baptist Book Club group on Facebook, or contact Lisa McCarter at 813-743-5113 or via email at tampafilmfan@aol.com.
